Gilders Tip Small (Squirrel)

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

This Gilders Tip measures 87.5mm and is made from pure squirrel hair. It is for picking up loose gold leaf from a Gilders Cushion or direct from the booklet and applying it to the size. The brush is either wiped on the nose or through your hair to collect a little grease. The leaf of gold attaches itself to the brush when it is gently pressed on it.

Questions of Meaning with Ann Hechle
A residential weekend course March 19 – 21

Do we want our work to have meaning ?
For ourselves ? For others ?
What does meaning mean ?
Are there different kinds of meaning ?
Do we begin with meaning or find meaning on the way ?
Is it different at different times ?
Do we recognise it ?
These and other questions will be raised during the weekend.

As Doing and Making are essential to all creative work a
project list will be sent out some months in advance for
participants to work on and bring their rough drafts to the
course (the list will include Own Choice) for group discussion.

Visit Art at Clevancy for more details.

Deliveries During Severe Weather Conditions

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Severe weather conditions are affecting the deliveries of orders. It seems most deliveries are taking 1-2 days longer than usual to be delivered.
Non UK deliveries are also likely to take longer, as many of the airports have been closed recently and some flights have been restricted.
We are also experiencing delays in receiving goods from some or our suppliers.

We apologise for these delays.

The Man in Blue – BokehType

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

I recently found this website The Man in Blue
“The Man in Blue is the alter ego of Cameron Adams, a Web Technologist in Sydney, Australia. (That means he does graphic design, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, writing, server-side jiggery pokery, and anything else that takes his fancy that day.)”

There are some very interesting articles on this website about a wide range subjects. However, it was BokehType that caught my attention. I tried to get a couple of screenshots but I was not very successful.
Its hard to explain – you will just have to visit the BokehType page and see for yourself what happens.
